Our first major academic symposium brought together outstanding guest speakers from different fields and training workshops. The session bypassed traditional mock debate models to focus on individual career skills, professional insights, and personal development goals.
As a follow up to our Public Park-preserving campaign, we paid a visit to the wonderful El Horreya park, where we held an event dedicated to cleaning the park. Most MUN members participated in the cleaning and showed great diligence. By the end of the day, we were able to clean most of the park. This event was also a great opportunity for members to catch up and know more about each other. Members also participated in a number of fun activities.
Completing what STEM MUN has started with the theme of mental well-being, our young diplomats had a special experience with the sports event held on Monday, 22/7/2024. In this event, they explored how mental health gets affected by doing sports, going kayaking in Zamalek with their peers, and having a good discussion with Dr. Mina Nasser and Abanoub Gamil, who experienced kayaking with them.
It was such a fantastic opportunity for young diplomats to break the ice and improve their networks. In addition to jumping rope competitions, card games, and a football match, it also provided a good way for our theme "mental well-being" to be introduced. We want to express profound gratitude to all the talents who stood out for their aptitude, ensuring a mental well-being theme for this season.
